so finally it seems the Mulleteers have found that elusive missing link taking us from a?multi-tasking (rod on bass?AND drums)?three piece to a full blown all grown up now?band with the addition of none other than?Mr Griffith filling that beautiful bass slot…. Bliss is a word that fits snugly into the ‘describe’ hole after our first gig together last nite… a low key nite for the Dogs Bollix bar (apparently people were staying at home so they could watch the allblacks earligh in the morning… good game?;) unfortunately but nevertheless we were in?sonic heaven… it’s truly lovely to be able to nod and say ‘bass solo’ and then have your mind blown in the most subtle, kick arse, funky, jazz fashion as Alex?voyages?all over?the fret board in search of?magical? moments?in music… and the groove!!! oh my god!?the lads is ‘appy… very ‘appy ;)

well the weekend just gone was one to remember for this farmer boy from Gizzy… called in by the RMA guys to record some rhythm and slide gat tracks on an album featuring harmonica players from around New Zealand i showed at the studio with a stack of borrowed gats and amps and a bundle of anticipation for what was to come… Read more
