Winter ’08…

it’s been wet, cold, windy & down right winter-ish of late, funny that, being winter & all. it’s been a time of relative hibernation when even the website went under ground for a few months but now it’s back & with a bittuva face lift as well thanks to me old computer wizz buddy…
the “Acoustic Edge Awards Evening” last week has been the most recent high light with yours truly being honored as the inaugural ‘Hall of Fame’ inductee no less!! the word “surprised” didn’t quite cut it in this case and happily i accepted the honor. a sponsor & friend of Acoustic Edge approached us on the night and offered a prize of a return ticket to Tonga for the ‘Hall of Fame’ inductee!! so off i’ll tot at some point in the not too distant future for ten days in the islands doin’ a cupla gigs for the locals & wot not, can’t wait. the awards night was a brilliant affair with organisers Todd and Pip organising a rather hollywood style occasion complete with paparazzi. the guests sported suits and glamorous gowns & the like and Harvest bar was glitzed up to match! the nights guest performers and the awards winners were an indication of the level of talent we’ve seen come through the place over the last year… acts like Matt Bodman, Hangman & Earthworks to name but a few, simply wicked..
things are looking like they’re gonna be busy leading up to summer this year with a wee tour planned with me old jamming buddy Ian Simpson in october/november and hopefully my album launch at some point… see the projects page and gig guide for more info on what’s goin’ on..
