Jaysuss!!

well it’s been a day or two since i’ve writ words on ye ol’ web-log thingy so here go we… the last couple of weeks have been focussed on giggin’ with the Jonny Sanders Latitudes band which featured Jon of course, me self, Toni Geiling (a true German maestro) and Gosia (she of soothing Polish jazz voice). we toured… the southern half of Ireland taking in Limerick, Dublin, Kill (near Waterford), Enniscorthy, Cork and the final gig last night back in Dingle. a beautiful crew to cruise around with indeed. many chuckles were had and some beautiful music did we play to rapturous entuziazmistic crowd response. partying til the wee small hours with friends in Kill was a highlight as were the gigs in Dublin and Cork (the home of Rory G).   today saw the leaving of the Polish one and the end of a great few weeks of Latitudinal adventures… Toni, Jon and I hold the fort and look forward to a three piece jam out on Saturday at Brics.  Dingle continues to dish up aural and visual treats… the tremendous trio Jon, Gosia and i scaled the heights of Mt Brandon earlier in the week. a two or so hour climb taking in vistas of beautiful lakes and rocks, rocks and more rocks and a few goats and sheep up high. from the summit you can see hundreds of miles except when it’s misty and then you can see about ten metres… needless to say it was misty up top…. mystical… white… cold… gorgeous…  new songs are hatchin’ nicely in prep for recording sessions back in Auckland or Te Kuiti… yeeehaaa!!

tarrah……
